Win Your Seat for the WPT Spanish Championship on PartyPoker

Friday, April 29th, 2011

If you play the free slots download on PartyPoker on a regular basis but have recently gotten a little sick of it, you should turn your attention to the poker games. Holdem games on PartyPoker are becoming progressively more popular, and the traffic grows everyday.

PartyPoker is known for their great live tournament promotions, and we should definitely talk about the WPT Spanish Championship, a tournament taking place relatively soon. The site has been running satellites to this event since March 21st, and they will keep going until May 8th. You better hurry because your time to win a package is running out!

The Spanish Championship takes place in Barcelona between May 25th and May 29th. You must be age 18 and over to play the event, and it will set you back €3,500, which is equivalent to around $4,900.

PartyPoker is known for being one of the best Euro poker sites on the Internet today, so it is no surprise that they are running so many satellites for this event. If you can win one of the $8k packages up for grabs, you will receive your Main Event buy-in, spending money, and 6 nights in a…

Play the $20k WSOP Final Event on Tiger Gaming

Tuesday, April 26th, 2011

I would like to talk about yet another poker site offering WSOP satellites. I did tell you that all the sites are focusing on Main Event qualifiers, didn’t I? Today I will talk about Tiger Gaming, a member of the Action Poker Network. This site does not accept players from the US.

Tiger Gaming’s Main Event package is worth $13k. To win it, you must play the $20k WSOP Final Event at 19:00 ET on June 11th. You pay $60 to enter the event ($55 to prize pool, $5 as rake), and the prize pool will be a minimum of $20,000. The winner of the tournament will receive 65% of the total prize pool, which means that they will receive the $13,000 package at a minimum. In an event in which the prize pool exceeds the guarantee, the first place winner will receive even more than this!

If you have had more success with your slot machine download than with your poker download, you might not want to break the bank trying to win a trip to Vegas. There are two paths for getting into the WSOP Final Event for much cheaper.

If you prefer MTTs, the…

Win Your Way into the WSOP with PartyPoker

Monday, April 25th, 2011

Back in March of this year, PartyPoker formed a partnership with bwin to create the biggest Internet gaming site in the world. They offer free bet sportsbooks, bingo, casino games, and poker. PartyPoker currently has a number of WSOP promotions so that fans of Texas Holdem can try to win their way to Vegas.

PartyPoker has been running World Series of Poker satellites since February, and they will keep doing so until June 19th. The Main Event packages up for grabs are valued at $14k, with $10,000 going towards your Main Event tournament entry. You also receive $2,000 spending money and 8 nights of hotel accommodation on the strip.

These fantastic prize packages are available by playing the $700+$50 WSOP Satellite that runs daily at 15:20 ET. One package for every twenty players that enter will be awarded.

If $750 seems like a lot to pay for a poker tournament, you can play the $70+$5 WSOP Satellite Qualifiers. They take place every day at 15:10 ET and 20:40 ET. 10% of the field receives a $750 ticket to the WSOP Satellite.

If $75 is still too much for you, there are a bunch of Sub Qualifiers to choose…

Free Seats for PokerStars SCOOP 2011

Sunday, April 24th, 2011

If you used the PokerStars bonus code for the purpose of playing multi-table tournaments, SCOOP 2011 will give you something to look forward to. SCOOP stands for Spring Championship of Online Poker, and all of the tournaments in this annual series carry an impressive guarantee. If your bankroll is small, you don’t need to worry because SCOOP features low, medium, and high buy-ins for each of its events.

SCOOP 2011 takes place in May and consists of 36 events. You can play events on the weekend at either 10:00 am ET or 2:00 pm ET. You can play three events per day during the week: 11 am ET, 2:00 pm ET, and 5:00 pm ET. In past years the tournament start times were later than these, but that was back when PokerStars was considered the best online poker site for Americans. Since US players are no longer permitted on the site, the start times were changed to accommodate more European players.

All players should be able to find something they like in this series. There are, of course, plenty of No Limit Holdem tournaments. The buy-ins for the short-handed first event are $22, $215,and $2,100, and you will…

American Players can Expect Funds in the Near Future

Saturday, April 23rd, 2011

April 20th saw the Department of Justice agree to a deal with Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars, providing them access to their domain names that were previously seized. The thinking is that this will make it easier for Americans to receive the money currently locked in their accounts. Americans have been waiting for some news about the money in their accounts for days, so news of this deal was more than welcome.

The US Attorney’s Office released a statement that said freezing accounts held by these US friendly poker sites did not prevent them from releasing funds to their customers. It could take a while to get things sufficiently organized, so both sites are asking for Americans for some time.

Some people are concerned that the Cereus sites were not mentioned in the agreement. It would be reasonable to assume that American cash outs are not the priority for Cereus at the moment. If you have money in a Cereus site, don’t be too worried yet. The Department of Justice is ready to make a deal with Cereus if they wish to do so.

In other Black Friday news, the PokerStars Big Game and Million Dollar Challenge have been…

Download Betfair to Compete for WSOP Seats

Thursday, April 21st, 2011

Betfair, one of the best Euro poker sites online, is running a series of satellites to the World Series of Poker this year. In total there are thirty-nine WSOP packages up for grabs via satellites.

If you win a Main Event package, you will receive more than just $10,000 for your event buy-in. You also get ten nights of accommodations and breakfast, admission to a welcome event, and spending money. This package is worth a total of $14.5k.

To win a Main Event package, you need to play the Main Event Qualification Final every Sunday at 20:00 CET. It will cost you $320 to buy-in. If your bankroll can’t handle such a high buy-in, $320 tournament tickets can be won by playing one of the twelve daily WSOP qualifiers. You have a lot more to gain from this than with that Roulette bonus!

If your eyes are set on a Side Event package, make sure you’re free for one of the Side Event 54 Qualification Finals on either Tuesday or Thursday. These satellites also carry $320 buy-ins. You will play the $1,000 No Limit Hold’em Event 54 if you win a Side Event package. It also includes seven…

Black Friday See Elie and Franzen Plead Not Guilty

Tuesday, April 19th, 2011

The US government handed out a nine-count federal indictment to eleven people involved with PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, and AP/UB. Allegations against those accused include money laundering as well as bank and wire fraud. Payment processors that served the three money poker sites are also among those charged.

A US magistrate in New York saw Bradley Franzen, one of the accused, plea not guilty. Franzen, a payment processor, is in trouble with the law for creating fake companies and websites with the intentions of disguising the fact that payments were going to poker sites. He is also accused of deceiving banks about such payments.

FBI agents saw Franzen surrender himself in New York yesterday. He was released on a $200k bond that was secured by the home of his parents. If he is found guilty of conspiracy to commit bank and wire fraud, he could receive up to 30 years in prison.

Also pleading guilty is Chad Elie, another payment processor for online poker rooms. Arrested in Vegas last Friday, he has been charged for money laundering, bank fraud, and wire fraud. Similar to Franzen, he is also accused of trying to pass off poker transactions as…

European Poker Sites Share Prices Sour

Monday, April 18th, 2011

If you’ve been paying any attention to online poker over the last few days, you’ll be aware that Black Friday hit U.S. poker sites last week. The owners of PokerStars, Full Tilt, UB, and Absolute were all indicted by the Department of Justice, following a lengthy investigation by the FBI. All but Absolute have stopped offering real money play to U.S. customers and the shockwaves are now being felt across the industry.

Although many in the U.S.A. are distraught, this has been a great boon to the European poker sites, many of whom suffered after withdrawing from the States in 2006.

The newly merged party.bwin digital has been the focus of much of the attention. Pre-UIGEA, Party were the biggest name in poker and post-UIGEA bwin were the biggest in Europe. In 2009, PartyGaming paid the U.S. government $105 million as part of a non-prosecution agreement, a move that paved the way for their reintroduction when a legal U.S. poker market emerges.

With the biggest names in the industry now eliminated and unlikely to return to the U.S., bwin.party is in the best position to reap the poker bonuses from new gambling legislation. To reflect that, their share…

This league features tournaments in which you can earn points for a leaderboard. There are some great prizes up for grabs for those that can earn big points and top the leaderboard.

Qualify for the WSOP on Titan Poker

Friday, April 15th, 2011

This article will cover the World Series of Poker satellites that are featured on the Titan Poker download. It is true that poker sites are a dime a dozen when it comes to Main Event satellites. You will soon see that they are actually unique, however, because they also have Side Event packages worth $5.5k.

Let’s talk about the Main Event first. The Main Event package on Titan is worth $13,000, which includes $10k for your Main Event seat. $980 of your package will go towards accommodations in Vegas, and the rest of it ($2,020) is for other expenses. You arrive in Vegas on July 8th and, barring a deep run in the event, you will leave on on the 15th. Titan Players winning this package will play on Day 1D of the Main Event.

To win a Main Event package, you should plan to be online for the Main Event Super Satellite on Sundays. You’ll need to buy-in for $535. If most of your online gambling experience comes from a Blackjack download rather than poker, you might be reluctant to blow $535 in one place. You therefore have the option to play smaller qualifiers to the…
