Tuesday, January 25th, 2011Daniel Negreanu is one of the most popular pros when it comes to those that represent the PokerStars marketing code. Born in Ontario, the 36 year old player has enjoyed an incredible career so far and is likely the most popular Canadian pro poker player.
Before he knew about the fortune he could make on money poker sites, Negreanu had hopes of playing snooker for a living. He learned to play poker along the way, and he eventually dropped out of high school to become a rounder instead.
Negreanu likes online poker, but most of his winnings have been in brick-and-mortar tournaments. In fact, he recently became the most successful tournament player of all time (where earnings are concerned), surpassing Phil Ivey. He did this by placing 2nd in the PCA’s Super High Roller tournament, winning $1 million for his efforts.
