Two Special Tournaments for you!

Greg RaymerPoker Tip
Multi Table Tournaments are a lot of fun and a real test of poker skill and it’s a great feeling to beat dozens, hundreds or even thousands of other players.

Everyone starts with the same number of chips and is knocked out when they have no chips left. It’s like a Sit & Go but as players are eliminated, tables are combined until there is just one Final Table left.

When playing in a tournament, it’s always best to take a slow start i.e. playing “tight” (only playing good hands) and letting other players knock each other out.  Then when there are fewer players left, you can start to play more hands because players will be more afraid of going out if they get unlucky and are also more likely to think that you have good hands.

Joe HachemPoker Tip
The best way to learn how to play poker is by actually playing. The Play Money tables on PokerStars are a great way to do that.

You can play as much as you want for free and it gives you a chance to experience poker without risking anything. You can?t win any money, but you will learn valuable skills in the process.

Sit & Go tournaments are an especially good way of honing your skill. Once a player is out of chips they are out of the game so everyone plays at their best. At the same time you are also getting final table experience without having to play through a large field.

Try one, you?ll enjoy it.

Once you?re feeling more confident, try the $0.01/$0.02 low limit games for real money. You?ll get the feel of playing for real and just a small deposit will provide you hours…

Congressman Frank’s Fight to Overturn UIGEA
As we’ve been reporting on CAP in recent weeks, Massachusetts
Representative Barney Frank has emerged as the leader in the
fight to overturn (or at least reform) UIGEA, the U.S. Congress’
unfortunate 2006 bill that effectively bans all U.S.-based
online gaming.

Rep. Frank has emerged as a sort of cult hero to the gaming
interests who are working so hard to get UIGEA repealed,
as we re=
ported Tuesday
.
Because of his dedication to the principle that the government
has no business regulating what Americans do in the comfort of
their own homes (“If it affects me, mind your own business”),
his name comes up in virtually every news story about the status
of UIGEA and the fight to repeal it.

If you haven’t been following the stories, it’s w=
